Account
How do I create an account?
Download MeetUp Now, tap Sign Up, and enter your name, email, and a password to get started. You can add a profile photo, bio, and interests afterward.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in screen. If you're still stuck, email support and we'll help you regain access.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email northfox2019@gmail.com from the address on your account and request deletion. We'll permanently remove your profile, meetups, and messages within 30 days, except where we're required to retain records by law.
Meetups
How do I create a meetup?
Tap the create button, choose a category, set a date, time, and venue, and decide whether attendees need your approval to join.
Can I cancel or leave a meetup?
Yes. Open the meetup and use the cancel or leave option. Other attendees in the group chat will be notified.
Safety
How do I report a user or a meetup?
Email northfox2019@gmail.com with the person's name or the meetup title and a description of the issue. We review every report and take action, including removing content or suspending accounts when needed.
What safety tips should I follow?
Always meet in a public place, let a friend or family member know where you're going, and trust your instincts — leave if something feels off. See in-app Safety Tips for more.
Notifications & permissions
Why does the app ask for my location?
Location is used to show you meetups happening nearby and to let you set a venue when creating one. You can control this anytime in your device's Settings.
How do I turn off push notifications?
Go to your device Settings → Notifications → MeetUp Now, and adjust what you'd like to receive.
